Welcome to Bruce Furniture! At the young age of 17, I knew I would some day be in the furniture business. I am fortunate that at an early age I found something I loved doing and now I feel like I haven’t worked a day since. Throughout my life I have always enjoyed working one on one with customers. After earning my marketing degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1974, I took a position as a Maytag representative, responsible for wholesale marketing of appliances covering areas in the United States and Canada. I tired of the corporate moves and finally knew in 1977 it was time to open my first Bruce Furniture store in Alliance, NE. Since then we have stores in Hastings, Holdrege and Kearney, NE and I was fortunate enough to welcome my son Michael to the team in 2000.
I believe the customer is the boss! Our goal is to meet each customer’s needs individually. It is our priority to establish quality relationships and make the shopping experience easy and enjoyable.
After almost 29 years, Bruce Furniture has the buying power to compete with the big chains, while maintaining the small town philosophy of taking care of the customer. If we don’t have the piece of furniture you want in our store, we can get it. We want to make you happy!
